Mr. Hughes has over 20 years experience in the Roofing Industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Boise State University.
Mr. Hughes began his career in the roofing industry as a Territory Manager for GS Roofing Products in the San Francisco Bay Area. After 5 successful years and building one of the top territories on the West Coast, Mr. Hughes was promoted to Regional Sales Manager in Chicago, IL. Faced with the challenge of turning around a Region that had not made a profit in a 5 year span, Mr. Hughes turned an $8 Million dollar region into a $43 Million region for GS Roofing Products. In 2000, after GS Roofing Products was acquired by Certainteed, Mr. Hughes returned to the West Coast where he served as the Northwest Regional Manager. Under his management, the team that Mr. Hughes was responsible for increased their sales by 60%.
Mr. Hughes joined Stoneway Roofing Supply as Vice President of Sales in 2004. During his time with Stoneway and SRS, Mr. Hughes has been instrumental in many accomplishments including the turnaround of the Portland branch by establishing the branch as one of Stoneway’s top performers.
