At SRS Acquisition Corporation, our goal, simply stated, is to "Make Money and Have Fun!" Beyond that relatively simple statement we intend to form the strongest national network of independent roofing distributors with the industry's most talented team of people working together to deliver the best products and service.
SRS was initially formed by management, working with our financial sponsor, AEA Investors LP (AEA), to purchase the assets of Suncoast Roofers Supply out of bankruptcy in early 2008. Since that time, we have made numerous acquisitions of additional roofing distribution businesses in various parts of the country as more fully chronicled in the web page on our history. Each of these businesses continues to operate under its prior business name - SRS exists only at the holding company level. Additionally, we have expanded through the opening of several greenfield branch locations. We intend to continue making additional acquisitions and opening new locations, where appropriate, in order to execute a national "buy and build" strategy in one-step roofing distribution where we can maximize shareholder value while becoming the preferred employer, customer and supplier in our industry.
The executive management of SRS has decades of experience in the wholesale building products distribution business, having served in similar capacities at companies such as Cameron Ashley Building Products, Inc., and Shelter Distribution, Inc. We are skilled at recognizing opportunities to enhance our business position through the acquisition and assimilation of strong local and regional distribution businesses. We seek owners who may be looking to expand their business but need additional capital to do so as well as owners who may be looking to monetize their investment after many years of the kind of hard work necessary to establish their business as a local leader. We believe we offer an attractive opportunity to these owners as our focus is to continue to operate the business under the name the owner has worked so hard to build up in their local community, while at the same time providing the resources needed to allow the business to continue to thrive and expand as appropriate.
