SRS Acquisition Corporation is a wholesale roofing products distributor, with coast to coast operations in the United States. SRS is a portfolio company of AEA Investors LP and was initially formed to acquire the assets of Suncoast Roofers out of bankruptcy on February 29, 2008. Suncoast Roofers Supply consists of 8 branches located in Auburndale, Clearwater, Deerfield Beach, Ft. Myers, Jacksonville, Orlando, Sarasota and Tampa, Florida.
Since the February, 2008 inception, SRS has experience incredible growth through acquisitions and openings of new locations. Within the first year SRS established a coast to coast presence as a leader in the roofing distribution industry.
In June 2008 SRS announced its acquisition of Southern Shingles, which at the time consisted of one location in Dallas, TX. Today Southern Shingles branches cover the entire state of Texas. In July 2008, SRS announced its acquisition of Wilson Wholesale, an established leader of roofing distribution in the Chicago area. Wilson Wholesale has grown to cover the Chicago and Minneapolis markets. SRS continued its aggressive expansion in August, 2008 with the acquisition of Rowe Supply, a company established in 1978 operating with one location out of Savannah, Georgia. Since joining the SRS team Rowe Supply has expanded to cover even larger areas of Georgia by operating out of multiple locations. In September 2008 SRS acquired Stoneway Roofing Supply, a company founded in 1924 with a well established reputation as a leader in the roofing distribution industry throughout the Pacific Northwest. Through joining SRS, Stoneway's leader, Dean Heathcote, felt comfortable that SRS would better position Stoneway Roofing Supply to grow their presence as established leaders in, as he stated, "the entire Western U.S. in the coming years."
SRS Acquisition Corporation still grows with "aggressive expansion" today by continuing to acquire the roofing distribution industry's most operationally sound companies as well as the opening of several strategically positioned new locations. SRS Acquisitions is on a mission which President Ron R. Ross clearly stated by saying, "we intend to form the strongest national network of independent roofing distributors with the industry's most talented team of people working together to deliver the industry's best products and service."
