Greg Robinson
General Manager - Southern Shingles
Mr. Robinson has been in roofing distribution for the past 9 years as the minority operating owner of Southern Shingles, a local independent roofing distributor in the Dallas Texas market. Greg worked for Southern's predecessor, Ivey Building Materials, and successfully transitioned that entity from a $2 million dollar lumber yard to an $11 million dollar multi-line commercial and residential roofing distributor. This transition was done through gaining a customer base of contractors that service the multifamily re-roof market along with local re-roof contractors, both commercially and residentially.
Prior to roofing, Greg worked in the hot dip galvanizing industry for 7 years for Boyles Galvanizing as a General Manger for 2 different plants that both were losing money prior to him taking them over and turning both into successful operations by re-staffing and cost control measures.
Greg attended the University of Texas at Arlington where he received his Bachelors degree, and Dallas Baptist where he received his Masters in Business Administration.
