Daniel R. Tinker

Vice President & Chief Operating Officer



Daniel R. Tinker has over fifteen years of building products distribution industry operating experience as well as significant experience in acquisitions, strategic planning, sales and marketing and asset management. Mr. Tinker has a consistent track record of increasing shareholder value and in developing strong relationships with suppliers, customers and employees. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Business Administration from Rice University.

Mr. Tinker began his career in 1996 at Cameron Ashley Building Products where he worked on acquisitions before moving into operating roles including branch manager, district manager, and later regional manager. In 2001, Mr. Tinker joined MMI products, a leading vertically integrated fence manufacturer and distributor, as their VP of Sales and Marketing. In 2004, Mr. Tinker left MMI to become President of Shelter Distribution's Midwest Division which at the time consisted of twelve locations and revenues of approximately $140 Million. After Shelter was sold to Beacon Roofing Supply in 2006, Mr. Tinker was promoted to Sr. Vice President of Operations & Business Development with responsibility for 22 locations with sales of $225 Million, 325 employees, and an EBITDA of $16 Million.

In this capacity, he had responsibility for a regional staff of 15 including Sales and Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting, Credit, Fleet & Safety, Operations, and Purchasing functions. In addition to his operating role, he was a key member of the M&A team being involved from initial targeting and contact of the seller to valuation, L.O.I., due diligence, negotiating the final purchase agreement, closing, and integration.

Mr. Tinker left Beacon in 2007 to pursue opportunities to work with private equity firms on various potential and existing investments in the building material industry and was working with AEA Investors on special projects prior to joining SRS Acquisition Corporation, full-time in July, 2008. Mr. Tinker is currently responsible for all operating units of the company and also is instrumental in acquisitions for SRS Acquisition Corporation.
